I am a photographer, and have somewhat recently gone out on my own with Wild Eyes Photography. I’ve had an overwhelming response, so learning how to juggle work and home life with my little family.
Why do you do it?
I love it! I have met so many amazing people, which keep leading me to new and great opportunities. I have forced myself to step out of my comfort zone, and in doing so I have been greatly rewarded.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
I can’t really remember a favourite TV show, but I was really into the 'Wayne’s World' movies. Of course I didn’t get it when I was a kid, but I still watch it all the time. “Schwing!”
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
That nothing comes to those who wait. I just jumped around through dead end jobs hoping for my big break. But once I left that behind and started doing what I really wanted, and put all my heart and soul into it, things really started going my way. It is truly much more rewarding knowing that I did this all for me and my family, and not for anyone else!
Are you happy with your work/life balance?
At this point in time my work/life balance is perfect. I spend my weekends out on shoots, then during the week I’m at home with my two little girls and working on the weekends’ photos.
How do you define success?
If you are truly happy with the work you are doing. I don’t really believe the money you earn is as important as being absolutely in love with your job.
What's your spirit animal?
Giant Panda! I am super lazy haha, I could just sleep and eat all day. Plus I’m pretty cuddly… probably.
