I’m a Primary School Teacher!
Why do you do it?
I have a passion for teaching/working with children. Shaping the stars of the future!
What do you love about the city you live in?
The Sunshine Coast - it's relaxed, friendly, not too big – not too small.
Where did you go for your last holiday?
EUROPE! London, Paris, Venice and Rome. Looking forward to spending this December in the US!
What's your favourite item of clothing? Why?
My 'Sportsgirl' playsuit. Lots of fun and can be dressed up or down…or my onesie. Actually, definitely my onesie.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
'F.R.I.E.N.D.S', of course.
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
My wedding day. Not to redo it, but to witness the wonder and feel the emotions of the greatest day of my life.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook for us?
Jamie Oliver 30 minute meal – Chicken Pie. Even though it takes me an hour and a half it’s worth every extra minute.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
I don’t think I’ve learnt it yet! I am still learning every day – about children, about the world, about my husband – each lesson as valuable as the last. Although one of my Prep students once told me I shouldn’t eat celery sticks because they are made from “the devils rude parts”. Safe to say I haven’t been able to even look at celery the same way since then…
Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows...
I have a small obsession with 'Sex And The City' and sometimes make my husband call me “Carrie”.
Are you happy with your work/life balance?
Not at the moment! But I know that my hard work while I’m young will be worth it in the long run.
How do you define success?
Success means different things to different people. To some, it is a number in the bank. To others it might be finally getting your dream job. To me, being ‘successful’ is when you have ticked all the goals on your list. Happy? This should ALWAYS top the list!
What's your spirit animal?
Huh???
