Marketing and PR student, disability support worker, dabbler in stand-up comedy.
Why do you do it?
The study because I got sick of working full time, the support work because helping people is about the only thing I could find that was important enough to make me actually want to work, and stand-up comedy because people kept laughing at me, so I thought I may as well stand on stage and act like I asked for it.
What do you love about the city you live in?
Gold Coast – the climate, the beach, the mountains, the active lifestyle culture, the variety of nearby activity hubs depending on how classy or non-classy you’re feeling.
Where did you go for your last holiday?
Bangladesh, visiting child sponsorship projects. The people are beautiful, the country itself is a busy cluster of way too many enthralling sights to take in, I’m in love with the place.
What's your favourite item of clothing? Why?
My grey pair of Jay Jays jeans that I got for $20 and have had for 4 years, because they fit perfectly and every time I wear them I feel like I’m sticking it to ‘the man’.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
MacGyver influenced me way more than any normal kid would have allowed.
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
I’d go back to 30AD and watch Jesus do his fancy tricks. Either that or I’d go back to 1985 and watch ‘Back to the Future’ on the big screen, how cool would that be!
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook for us?
Szechuan chicken, and it would be way too spicy and you’d hate it.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
Loving everyone solves everything.
Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows...
There is nothing about me that nobody knows, I tend to over share. Though I guess no one knows I often pick my nose in bed at night and drop it onto my computer desk so I can dispose of it in the morning…
Are you happy with your work/life balance?
I work 12 hours a week, so I am at the moment, yea! Just not so much with my money/having shit that works balance.
How do you define success?
Being able to wake up every morning and be excited about the day ahead.
What's your spirit animal?
Russell Brand riding the Bundy Rum bear.
