What do you do? I am an Indigenous small business owner. My business is called creativemind TSI. I am an artist, singer-songwriter and I am also a storyteller.

Why do you do it? creativemind TSI was dreamt up as a platform for me to express the creative side of me. It is not only my online shop for my clothing and merchandise, which represent my Torres Strait Heritage, but is also a way for people to find the links to my songs as an artist and my stories that are told in my first language (Torres Strait Creole) that can be found on YouTube and Soundcloud.

What do you love about the place you live in? I live in a beautiful place in this world I call my island home. I was born and bred on Thursday Island, in the Torres Strait. Even though I have moved around quite a bit throughout the years, I always seem to come back home.

Where did you go for your last holiday? I took my children and my mother to Bluey's World in Brisbane for the June-July school holidays.

What's your favourite item of clothing? I love my fashion, but out of all of my clothing it would have to be my island dress. It is very versatile and above all very comfortable.

What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid? (If you've got kids, what's your favourite show to watch with them?) We love watching 'Bluey'.

If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go? I would go back to sitting on the stairs of my grandparents home playing the guitar and singing songs with my grandfather.

If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us? Most likely Semur chicken (vermicelli noodles chicken).

What's the best lesson you've ever learned? To not listen to other people's negativity; and always believe in myself.

Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows... I used to practice to be a gymnast, but I love food way too much.

Are you happy with your work/ life balance? Yes 100 per cent. Running my own business from home, I get to spend a lot of time with my family.

How do you define success? Is when you feel you have completed something.

What's your spirit animal? Most likely a panda. I love eating but am a little clumsy sometimes.
