What do you do?
I run a film school for kids and I am also the Managing Director of the Adelaide Kids Film Festival.
Why do you do it?
I love young minds and uninhibited imagination. I love film making, and kids films keep me on my toes, plus I felt that Adelaide needed a platform for young people to share their ideas and digital stories.
What do you love about the city you live in?
The ease of life here. Adelaide is a great city to test great ideas in. Many great businesses and ideas and people have come from Adelaide initially.
Where did you go for your last holiday?
I'm about to go to Italy for a work trip. The Adelaide Kids Film Festival is about to partner up with the world's biggest children's film festival Giffoni, which is in Italy. There will be plenty of work and a little time to relax on the Amalfi Coast.
What's your favourite item of clothing? Why?
Sneakers, for the comfort.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
I had a few. The Henderson Kids, Secret Valley, The Wonder Years, The Goodies, The Young Ones, Punky Brewster, Astro Boy, to name a few...
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
To primary school. I just loved primary school.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook for us?
Pasta, salad and garlic bread. It's my signature.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
Never be afraid to ask...
Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows...
A few people know this already, but I have cried in episodes of Neighbours before.
Are you happy with your work/life balance?
Sometimes I wish I had an assistant to do all of the administration that comes with this job, but overall, I balance it pretty well. I know how to switch off when I have to. I have a three-year-old son after all!
How do you define success?
Recognition from peers for doing something you, yourself, are proud of. And having a great life/work balance.
What's your spirit animal?
Not really sure…dragon? Then again, they aren't animals… a goat??
