Why do you do it? I started out in the industry with little help and absolutely no connections. I went through a lot of ups and downs, and hard to learn some extremely hard truths through bouts of uncertainty and second guessing myself constantly.
I am in a position now where I am very happy and feel accepted in the industry and see it as my place to help people who are starting out. There are a lot of things I wish people told me that would have made it easier for everyone, but now can rectify this by doing it for others.
What do you love about the city you live in? Perth is a combination of the strangest and nicest people you will ever meet. The isolation mixed with the laidback, sunny days makes us so much more chilled out than other cities. Also, that Kings Park view – oof!
Where did you go for your last holiday? Margaret River.
What's your favourite item of clothing? My Sly Withers crop top. So versatile.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid? I enjoyed 'Angela Anaconda' and 'Skithouse' even though I didn’t really understand the jokes.
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go? I once had a taxi driver tell me I'd 'do well in Egypt' (whatever that means), so would love to go back in time to one of Cleopatra's three-week long parties.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us? Jalapeno poppers to start, pumpkin coriander soup with homemade cheesy garlic bread for main, and chocolate chip cookie dough pretzels for dessert – all made with love.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned? Best and worst lesson: say yes to everything until it is physically impossible to say yes to everything. It got me where I am in my career, but it was incredibly tough to keep up along the way.
Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows. . . I won a radio competition as a kid to have a cake made by The Cheesecake Factory for my birthday, and I insisted on a Garfield-shaped vanilla cake. Best 9th birthday ever.
Are you happy with your work/ life balance? My life in a way is my work and I am very ok with that. I still make time for myself, my partner Luke and my garden (it's almost mango season and my tree is full!).
How do you define success? One hundred per cent NOT by income, the biggest house or best car. It's by quality of life and how content you are with it.
Are you happy, do you like the people in your life, are you happy with your career, do you look after yourself? If yes, then that is success.
What's your spirit animal? Meerkat for sure. They are very observant creatures and a little bit on edge at all times.
