Zomby Cancels Australian Dates

Zomby
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Masked UK raver Zomby has cancelled his OutsideIn Festival and Brisbane Festival sets after failing to board his flight to Australia.

Zomby's disappearing act has led OutsideIn promoters Yes Please and Astral People to cancel the second (all-ages) day of the event, instead replacing it with a couple of triple headliner sideshows.

OutsideIn Festival co-director Vic Edirisinghe was apologetic for the cancellation: "After chasing one of our favourite artists for three years and the additional blow of Knxwledge pulling out due to a family tragedy," he said, "we have decided to consolidate the all-ages show into a series of intimate side-shows — we wish to deliver an all-ages event in the near future when we can give it the focus it deserves."

Zomby — who has blamed his no-show on visa troubles — was, uh, less apologetic.

Astral People's Lee Dan is having none of that visa nonsense.
Ticketholders for the second day of OutsideIn will be contacted by the venue; Sunday tickets are now valid for Saturday's festival. Discounts are available for ticketholders to the triple headliner shows. Refunds are also available from the point of purchase.

Stay tuned for info on refunds to Zomby's Brisbane Festival show.
