With a new studio album titled 'New Love' on the way this summer, Australia indie folk-rock-roots singer-songwriter, Ziggy Alberts will traverse the country on a regional tour in the first third of 2025.
An artist known for his songs 'Runaway', 'Laps Around The Sun', 'Days In The Sun' and 'Love Me Now', Alberts will headline intimate gigs in Margaret River, Cairns, Toowoomba, Northern Rivers, Newcastle, Wollongong, Canberra, Wodonga, Ballarat and Port Fairy next March-April."G'DAY AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺. After seven years, I'm so excited to announce my 2025 Regional AU tour. My whole career was founded by small towns around this sunburnt land, so it's cool to be kicking it old-school with some all-ages options for the kids and bubs."
2024 has seen Alberts tour Europe, the UK, US and Asia, selling out numerous shows across the globe including two headline shows in Mexico City earlier this month. This year has also seen Ziggy release the singles 'Outlaw', 'Where Does The Love Go?' and the title track of his new album 'New Love', as well as his second book of published poetry, 'Sun Memos'.
"My latest album is set to be released early next year. Recorded in Ocean Shores NSW this past summer, I reunited with Garrett Kato to make the sequel to 2018's 'Laps Around The Sun'," shares Ziggy.
"This record feels like the perfect blend of big sing-alongs and intentional minimalism. I wrote these songs with the live performances in mind, so it truly feels like old-school storytelling with new perspectives. I can't wait for you to hear it all!"
Tickets on sale from 10am AEDT on 30 October.
