Adelaide certainly got their dose of Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society. Fans came in droves to witness the full on metal attack that Zakk produces to cause the wild audience.

Excitement was rippling off the ceiling as the enthusiasm was sky high among Adelaide metal community. The crowd couldn’t wait to shake of the working week and have a few drinks while listening to some awesome metal.

Adelaide’s very own Ice On Mercury impacted on the audience like a tidal wave. If the crowd ever wanted to be warmed up and to get ready for the onslaught that Zakk and the band was going to produce Ice On Mercury were the right fit for the bill. Licks of great riffs got most of the Adelaide audience nodding their head, then they threw in a couple of covers which included 'Shine' by Collective Soul, and Rage Against The Machine's classic 'Killing The Name Of'. The guys got a wild response as these boys know how to work hard and get their repayment for their effort. Adelaide needs more of these guys for sure.

By the time Zakk Wylde and the band were walking onstage, the HQ complex was packed with ladies and gentlemen of all ages - wearing their Black Label Society patches proudly.  Zakk, John, Dario and Jeff, threw a full-on knuckle punch to the Marshall amplifiers as they tore into their set like there was no tomorrow.

It was great to be able to hear the crowd singing along to the songs – even the newer songs of Black Label Society’s latest album ‘Catacombs Of The Black Vatican’, which was released last year. Highlights? There were too many to note, but one standout was a tribute to the late Dimebag Darrell tune 'In This River' which even got the Adelaide diehards chanting 'Dimebag, Dimebag', once the song was complete.

If the Adelaide metal community wanted a gig to attend to for 2015 - then Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society performance was the place to go. Sometimes Adelaide people are just too impatient or lazy but tonight they deserved respect. Black Label showed that they still have what it takes to make the fans leave wanting more.

Those attending the rest of the Australian tour are definitely in for a treat.
