It’s been ten years since Yours & Owls Festival began – as a one-stage beach party featuring local prodigies, now a multi-stage mainstay on the national calendar.
Ten years of bringing international superstars to Wollongong later, and the 2025 line-up is here, continuing the tradition.
Ireland’s Fontains D.C., lauded saviours of post-punk, are being heavily credited for leading the resurgence of the love of guitar bands on big stages. Their unique blend of post-punk and Irish influences, insightful lyrics and commentary means they’re an act to see.
Floridian rapper Denzel Curry is next up, with his dynamic blend of hip hop, punk, trap, and experimental sounds taking him from the underground to stadium supports. He’s being hailed as one of the most versatile, critically acclaimed rappers of our time.
The Kooks are one of Australia’s most familiar – and favourite – festival headliners. There are few mid-noughties indie bands still standing like The Kooks, who are still experiencing career highs. Their perfect blend of indie rock and pop, catchy melodies and anthem tracks resonate will music fans across the ages.
The GRAMMY Award-nominated Goo Goo Dolls are hitting Wollongong, bringing their swoon-worthy Gen X anthems of angst-ridden love. They’ve quietly broken records, contributing a string of staples to the American songbook – plus, they’ve been covered by the likes of Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers and Maggie Rogers.
These guys will be joined by an overabundance of international and Australian acts like Elderbook, Hockey Dad, Honey Dijon, Sycco, San Cisco, Y.O.G.A, Allday, The Veronicas, Peach PRC, Orville Peck, The Jungle Giants, May A, Slowly Slowly and more.
