Almost a decade since they last toured Australia, pop-punk icons Yellowcard return in 2025.
The 'Ocean Avenue' and 'Only One' hitmakers will headline concerts in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane in April, their first Australian dates since 2017.Yellowcard are making it a pop-punk triple treat, with emo power-pop Minneapolis band Motion City Soundtrack ('Everything Is Alright', 'The Future Freaks Me Out') joining the bill (in what will be their first time back in Australia since 2016, which was the band's final tour before breaking up before reuniting in 2019) alongside Chicago's pop-rock band Plain White T's ('Hey There Deliah', 'Rhythm Of Love', '1, 2, 3, 4') in what is their first time back down under since performing at Soundwave in 2008.
Yellowcard will be celebrating the 20-year anniversary of their seminal, breakthrough record, 2003's 'Ocean Avenue', which propelled the band into mainstream garnering comparison to their peers Blink-182 and Simple Plan.
A record that has accrued a combined billion streams to date, alongside the title track and 'Only One', 'Ocean Avenue' also features such cuts as 'Breathing', 'Way Away', 'Empty Apartment' and 'Believe'.
"It has taken us a long time to sort out bringing the 20th anniversary of 'Ocean Avenue' to Australia," shares the band, "but we promise it will be worth the wait! This line-up is so good and we can't wait to reconnect with our fans down under."
Known for their catchy melodies, introspective lyrics, and dynamic performances, Motion City Soundtrack released their new single 'Stop Talking' in August.
With two Grammy nominations and 2.7 billion streams across their almost 30-year career, Plain White T's most recent album was 2023's self-titled release featuring the singles 'Would You Even', 'Happy' and 'Fired Up'."Australia, we're coming back," declares Plain White T's.
"It's been 17 years, but we're thrilled to announce that we'll be heading back down under in April 2025 with Yellowcard as they celebrate 20 years of their iconic album 'Ocean Avenue'."
