Yeah Yeah Yeahs have cancelled their 2022 Australian tour.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Due to "health issues", Yeah Yeah Yeahs have cancelled their Australian tour including their appearance at Splendour In The Grass.

The band were due to play Melbourne next Wednesday (20 July) and Sydney the following Sunday (24 July) as well as the Friday instalment of Splendour (22 July).

"We are so sorry to announce that due to health issues we will be cancelling our upcoming shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Splendour In The Grass," the band says.

"The disappointment weighs heavily on us, we apologise for such disappointing news. We've been waiting a long time to see you again and we hope to return soon to fulfil our commitments in good health and spirits for you. Much love, YYYs."

A statement from Splendour reads: 'Splendour wishes Karen, Nick and Brian a speedy recovery. We hope to see them back in Australia soon.

'In light of this news, we are beyond stoked to announce that The Avalanches are set to raise the vibrations in the Splendour Amphitheatre with their full LIVE show on Friday 22 July.'

"We're so happy to be coming home to play Splendour again and can't wait to see you all there. We're sending love to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs x," The Avalanches says.
