Fresh from playing Glastonbury, English post-punk indie rockers Yard Act are headed to Australia in 2024.
The Mercury Prize-nominated Leeds band, who won the Grulke Prize at 2022 SXSW, will headline concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Fremantle in November. After breaking through in 2022 with their debut album 'The Overload' (featuring the title track single as well as '100% Endurance', 'Payday' and 'Dead Horse'), Yard Act released their sophomore record 'Where's My Utopia' earlier this year.
The band co-produced 'Where's My Utopia' with Gorillaz' Remi Kabaka Jr., the album featuring 'Dream Job' and 'We Make Hits'. "All the old cliches about the second record are true! This album is our most personal yet. We've slapped loads of strings on it," says the band.
"Jay is out of rehab and cured of his Facebook marketplace spending addiction. If this was any one of our many rivals saying all this nonsense my eyeballs wouldn't have stopped rolling. But, I swear down, it's ALL true!"
Currently in the midst of an enormous run of shows across Europe and the UK, the band will head to the US and Canada before hitting Aussie shores in November.
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 4 July.
