DJ/production duo Wordlife — Kato and Adam Bozzetto — have announced plans to release their new EP, Breakthrough / Small Talk EP, on July 1, following a tour on Australia's east coast.
'Breakthrough' is an unabashed house anthem — call-and-response, hand claps galore, and a vocal sample that will lodge itself in your head. 'Small Talk', on the other hand, is a restrained, slightly introverted, slow burn of a tune, built for 3am.
Remix duties for 'Breakthrough' are handled by Berlin duo Kyodai, who turn the track into a 7-minute journey. On the flip, Doc Daneeka was given the task of rewiring 'Small Talk', and ended up getting so lost in the music that he supplied two versions — a 'night' remix and a 'day' remix.
Wordlife have been cranking dancefloors since the release of their debut EP, Birth, Punk, Rap, House, Life, on Bang Gang 12"s. They joined the Modular Agency roster earlier this year.
