The 2025-26 Woodford Folk Festival will be the 38th edition of the event, with more than 1,500 opportunities to take part.
Woodford invites festival goers to embark on a six-day journey of participation, creativity, and connection. Nestled on 500 acres of regenerated farming lands in the scenic Moreton Bay region, just up the road from Brisbane, it’s a living, breathing arts community.
The 2025-26 music line-up promises an unforgettable celebration, with Electric Fields leading the charge. They’re the award-winning duo who represented Australia at Eurovision in 2024, blending electronic soul with Anangu language. Plus, Troy Cassar-Daley brings his 45 Golden Guitars and soulful storytelling, and Sarah Blasko offers acclaimed indie artistry.
There are rising stars on the bill like ARIA-winning soul sensation Budjerah, powerful Indigenous rapper BARKAA, and beloved singer-songwriter Lior, as well as indie folk muses Hollow Coves, and an Australian line-up rounded out by KUČKA, Birdz and Fred Leone, San Cisco, Briggs, Mama Kin Spender, Gordi, Beddy Rays, and C.W. Stoneking.
Next, the festival welcomes South African singer-songwriter Msaki, with a soulful blend of Xhosa lyrics and African rhythms. . . As well as Canadian artist Richard Wood, Kenyan performer Kasiva Matua, and Scotland’s Talisk.
If you’re not much of the music kind, never fear – Woodford’s got much more to see and do. The Stunned Mullets feature their daring triple trapeze, while Papua New Guinea’s Ambum Cultural Group brings traditional rhythms and movement.
Comedy duo Otto & Astrid make a return, alongside comedians Oliver Clarke and Meg Jäger.
Elsewhere, attendees can take part in six days and nights of meditation in motion, dance parties, circus workshops, music camps, and more. Even the kids can be entertained thanks to The Tinlids Children’s Festival, featuring the beloved dirtgirlworld and a huge programme to keep them learning and entertained.
“Woodford is a village of play, curiosity, and renewal, a place where creativity moves us, kindness connects us, and nature reminds us of our shared humanity,” Festival Director Amanda Jackes says. “In a world that can feel divided and uncertain, the festival reminds us that joy is never frivolous; it is transformative. When we gather to create, listen, and share, we nurture hope and remind ourselves that the beginning is always now.”
