Australia's newest music and arts festival, the Sapphire Coast's Wanderer Festival (23-25 September) continues to tick all the fun boxes with its second artist announce dripping in talent while the event's location has been secured.
Set to join those already headed to Wanderer Festival (which includes Ziggy Alberts, DMA'S, The Teskey Brothers, Winston Surfshirt, Curtis Harding, The Dandy Warhols, Confidence Man, Sarah Blasko, Jack River and DZ Deathrays) are Aussie rock & roll legends Wolfmother.The 'Woman' and 'Joker And The Thief' band fronted by Andrew Stockdale join other new additions Alice Ivy, The Vanns, Hayley Mary, Harvey Sutherland, The Dreggs, Maddy Jane, Old Mervs, Muroki, Cousin Tony's Brand New Firebird and Tall Shaun and The Resolution Blues.
The festival will also be staged at the picturesque surrounds of Pambula Beach Community Sports Fields offering onsite camping as well as a smorgasbord of the region's finest produce as well as thirst-quenching adult beverages.
While a free bus service will be available to transport patrons to and from Merimbula, Pambula and Pambula Beach ensuring patrons can stay anywhere in the local area hassle free.
"We're thrilled that the Bega Valley Shire Council has given us access to the Pambula Beach community fields," Wanderer Festival founder Simon Daly says.
"The reserve has a beautiful National Parks backdrop and amphitheatre. It's an easy walk or bike ride to the beach for your morning swim. We're a stone's throw to the beautiful village of Pambula and only ten minutes from Merimbula. People will love how close we are to everything."
Located halfway between Sydney and Melbourne and just a three-hour drive from Canberra, the Sapphire Coast remains one of Australia's truly pristine yet accessible destinations.
While music is the primary focus of the festival, Wanderer's extensive arts programme covers everything from comedy, circus, cabaret and theatre as well as workshops.
Berlin's prince and princess of art rock and Europop, Die Roten Punkte will grace the stage with their hilarious wild cabaret show, while Alex Ward and Lizzy Hoo crown the comedy line-up.
Spanish artist Emiliano Matesanz presents Lila's World, a series of playful installations made from pre-loved recycled materials.
Enigmatic music installation Shapes & Sounds, '20s swing and gospel darlings Wiki People, the hilarious Guess Who Tarot and This Is Me Bunting are all new additions to the incredible arts line-up (scroll down for the full list).
"I am so excited to be sharing this fantastic range of artists with you all," Artistic Director Ian Pidd says.
"At Wanderer we feel so confident that our audiences will leave the festival having seen and participated in performances and creative works that they didn't even know existed and now can't get enough of. "You'll come for the music (I know I do!) but I reckon you'll love the arts programme just as much."
While any AFL footy heads fretting about missing the Grand Final action on the Saturday afternoon, Wanderer has you covered. "For those who follow the AFL, we know the last Saturday of September is a huge occasion," Ian says.
"The entire Grand Final will be broadcast on a big screen at the festival, with hot pies, cold beer and drinks on hand. . . and the half-time entertainment will be something to remember."
Wanderer Festival 2022 takes place at Pambula Beach (NSW) 23-25 September.
