Fresh from releasing her debut album 'If Not Winter' in August, rising shoegaze star Wisp has added to her Australian visit this summer.
Set to play the east-coast legs of Laneway Festival, the 'Your Face' hitmaker will also headline concerts in Sydney and Melbourne next February.
Alongside the album's release – that features the songs 'Sword', 'Save Me Now', 'Get Back To Me' and 'Breathe Onto Me' – 2025 has also seen Wisp make her debut appearances at Coachella and Bonnaroo as well as tour North America with System of a Down, KORN, Deftones, and Avenged Sevenfold.
"'If Not Winter' is a look into my diary entries and all of my childhood dreams," she says, "evoking feelings of limerence, nostalgia, infatuation to the highest levels – it's a vulnerable reflection of my most inner thoughts and memories I wanted to eternise, to look back on, and for everyone else to relate and find meaning in."
Leaning into the heavier, alternative tones of shoegaze, Wisp recently shared her cover of Coldplay classic 'Yellow'. "'Yellow' to me is a childhood memory that I wanted to rendition into my present life," Wisp says.
"A song that I never understood the depth of, to now relating to the lyrics and singing them with the emotion of my romantic journeys this past year."
Wisp has just completed her own North American tour promoting 'If Not Winter'. "The best summer camp to ever exist, I love my crew and I love you! I'll see the rest of you guys at the next shows very soon <3 thank you for making this dream come true, mwah."
Tickets on sale from 11am (local time) on 10 October.
