Spring marks the return of William Crighton, the 'purveyor of dark and searing Australiana', with an east-coast tour.
This short run of shows will see Crighton and his group, The Family Band, collaborating alongside a number of special guests including Irish blues-psych sensation Amy Montgomery (who'll appear at all shows).
Fresh off the back of a wildly successful international tour, Crighton has spent the past 12 months making a name for himself at festivals all over the UK, Denmark and Canada.
Crighton & The Family Band will be hitting Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney as well as a set at Dashville Skyline (Hunter Valley).
Some of the esteemed 'Family' members include composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, William Barton. Other members of the 'Family' are Crighton's wife, Julianne, featuring on vocals, Crighton's brother, Luke, on bass, as well as internationally-acclaimed drummer Reuben Alexander.
Supporting Crighton on her debut Australian performance is Irish singer-songwriter, Amy Montgomery. Her bohemian aesthetic and raw, Janis Joplin-esque vocals have commanded attention across a number of festivals in the UK (including a crowd of 7,000 at Glastonbury), and has been steadily gaining notoriety ever since.
The Melbourne leg will feature local artist Allara, while Paddy McHugh joins the bill in Brisbane and Sydney. The punk-rock musings of Hunter Valley newcomer Ahlia Williams will feature at the three capital city shows.
