More than a decade since they last toured Australia, alt. country champions Wilco return in 2024.
Led by frontman Jeff Tweedy, the band responsible for such hits as 'Jesus, Etc.', 'California Stars', 'Impossible Germany' and 'If I Ever Was A Child' will headline concerts in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney next March."How is it possible that it's been over ten years since Wilco was last down under?!" questions Jeff. "Mind-blowing. So we're beyond thrilled to be able to say we're coming back. We love Australia and can't wait!"
With 12 albums released across their career since 1995 debut record 'A.M.', Wilco's next studio album lands at the end of September with the release of 'Cousin'.
"I'm cousin to the world," Tweedy confesses. "I don't feel like I'm a blood relation, but maybe I'm a cousin by marriage."
The album was produced by Welsh artist Cate Le Bon, representing the first time the band used an outside producer in over a decade since 2009's 'Wilco (The Album)', and was preceded by the single 'Evicted'.
BT from Love Police encourages all fans to experience Wilco this March. "Every time I see Wilco play I think. . . 'is that the greatest live band on the planet?'.
