North Carolina indie rockers Wednesday return to Australia this winter.

The 'Elderberry Wine' and 'Townies' hitmakers will headline two concerts in Melbourne as part of RISING Festival May-June, before heading north for a gig in Sydney.

Led by songwriter Karly Hartzman, and known for their outlaw grit, place-based poetry, and hair-raising noise that blends shoegaze, alt. country, and grunge, the 'countrygaze' pioneers released their newest album 'Bleeds' last year.

Where 2023's 'Rat Saw God' was their breakthrough, 'Bleeds' is Wednesday's biggest triumph that dominates Best Of The Year lists, as well as adulation from the likes of Pitchfork, TIME Magazine, GQ, and NPR, plus a TV debut on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert'.

As fans who caught Wednesday on their debut Australian tour in 2024 can attest (including Golden Plains and MONA FOMA), their live show is phenomenal; a gloriously ramshackle, emotive and powerful communal experience.

Tickets to the Melbourne show on sale from 12pm AEDT on 16 March. Tickets to the Sydney show on sale from 9am AEDT on 13 March.
