It only took 16 years, but The Avalanches have finally released a new track.
'Frankie Sinatra' is the first song the group have revealed since their debut album, 'Since I Left You', was released. Chatting with Beats 1's Zane Lowe earlier today, the group said: “It’s been finished for a while but it’s not real until people get to hear it.”
The song features Danny Brown and MF Doom; and the group are moving fast with this release, with an official video already posted online.
Whether or not this heralds the start of an Avalanches renaissance period (even the band told Zane Lowe “there were lots of points where we though it wasn’t going to happen"), The Avalances will be on stage at next month's Splendour In The Grass where they'll no doubt road test 'Frankie Sinatra' alongside other classics like 'Frontier Psychiatrist'.
