Destination music event Wanderer Festival is back in 2023, returning to the Sapphire Coast (NSW) this spring for three days of glorious live music and hangs with your bestie buds.
After last month revealing The Jungle Giants, Spiderbait, Kevin Morby, Lisa Mitchell and Melbourne Ska Orchestra as part of the 2023 programme, event organisers have added another 25-plus artists to the bill, with more acts to be revealed closer to the event.The new arrivals include a stack of established Aussie indie stars: Babe Rainbow, Alice Skye, Art Vs Science, C.W. Stoneking, Haiku Hands, Kim Churchill, Lisa Mitchell, Montaigne, Ocean Alley, Thelma Plum and Urthboy.
There's also a number of international arrivals including Gomez members Ben Ottewell and Ian Ball as well as British art-rock band Django Django and American rhythm & blues musician Son Little.
Wanderer also have their eye on the next-gen talent currently emerging with Dice, Freya Josephine Hollick, Jacoténe, Jack Biilmann & The Black Tide, Prodikal-1, Rum Jungle, and Steph Strings headed to the Sapphire Coast alongside a heap of local acts.
"I'm thrilled with how Wanderer is shaping up this year. We're curating a really strong programme consistent with what Wanderer is all about," festival organiser Simon Daly says.
"It is diverse in every sense and includes plenty of well known favourites as well as amazing new talent.
"We are really proud to be delivering such a world-class event in the Sapphire Coast. It is really rewarding creating something so equally loved by both the local community as well as travellers coming from all over Australia for an unforgettable experience in this stunning part of the world."
The music programme will be complemented by art, comedy, theatre, and circus performers plus a host of artisan workshops and stalls.
