WAMFEST 2021 To Host 160+ Music Acts As Part Of WA Music Week

L-R top to bottom: Dear Sunday, The Washing Line Economy, Dulcie and BEXX
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

After being postponed from its usual November staging, one of the world's largest celebrations of local, original music – WAMFest returns to the streets of Perth (26-27 March) as part of WA Music Week.

With more than 160 musical acts programmed across both days, WAMFest is set to take over venues and stages across the City of Perth and Northbridge. And the best part, it's absolutely free to attend. Winning.

Given the vast array of genres and selection of both established and emerging local, progressive, original musicians and bands on offer, you're guaranteed to find something that floats your boat.

Taking a quick squiz at the line-up, the scenestr highlights include (in alphabetical order): Adrian Dzvuke, Alter Boy, Ashes of Autumn, Big Orange, Boox Kid, Carla Geneve, Covøids, Death By Denim, Dulcie, Electric State, Ghost Care, Grace Barbé, Great Gable, Grievous Bodily Calm, Indigo Blaze, Pat Chow, People Taking Pictures, Peter Bibby's Dog Act, Soukouss Internationale, Tanaya Harper, Tanya Ransom, The Floors, The Little Lord St Band and Turtle Bay Television. Scroll down for the complete line-up.

WAMFest's Festival Director and Curator, Mark Neal (who is also a local musician, booking agent and artist manager) says the event offers music lovers the opportunity to expand their list of favourite, local acts. "WAMFest presented by Act Belong Commit is the biggest WA music event of its kind," he says.

"It's been happening in this state for as long as I've been alive and it's an honour to be able to celebrate WA music through this unique community festival experience.

"In a turbulent time for music festivals and venues, being able to see this finally come to life is incredibly exciting."

WAMFest will again host the Scarbs Beach Party in the City of Sterling (21 March) with the all-ages, all-day event taking over five venues with more than forty acts performing including Soukouss Internationale, Legs Electric, Young Robin, BEXX and Grace Sanders.
