Applications For 'Girls Rock! WA' Now Open
We’re beyond excited to officially open applications for the first ever Girls Rock! camp in WA, which lands at Leederville TAFE 14-18 January 2019.The week-long day camp will include instrumental instruction, band rehearsals, workshops and fun activities designed to empower and inspire aspiring young female, trans, and non-binary musicians aged 11-17; with a special showcase performance at Mojos on Saturday 19 January capping off the week.
Local musicians Lucy Peach and Tanaya Harper, and RTRFM breakfast presenter Taylah Strano are among the volunteers on board, along with some very special surprise guests to be revealed.
WAMFest Live In The Park Bassendean
Just when you thought you could hang up your WAMFest hat for another year, WAM has teamed up with the Town of Bassendean again to deliver a fun-filled day of free West Australian music and entertainment the whole family can get behind.Join us at the BIC Reserve 4-10pm on Saturday 24 November for the final instalment of WAMFest 2018, featuring performances by Grace Barbé, Big Orange, J.F.K and Sydnee Carter.

With WAM’s annual Song of the Year competition just around the corner, now is the perfect time to get a head start on selecting and perfecting your best tracks.The competition has helped shine a light on the immense songwriting talent here in WA across all genres, ages and levels. Over the years top songwriters such as Stella Donnelly, Sydnee Carter, Beni Bjah and Mathas have walked away with the grand prize and title of Song Of The Year.

Free Songwriting Workshops In Bunbury
In partnership with Healthway promoting the Act-Belong-Commit message, WAM are pleased to present a series of free songwriting workshops leading into WAM’s Song Of The Year competition.The first will kick off in Bunbury this summer as part of the Across The Road Summer Music Festivals happening on Saturday 24 November, Saturday 19 January and Saturday 9 February.
They present a unique opportunity for aspiring artists to explore the creative process, connect with others, and learn about the craft of songwriting from established WA artists like Riley Pearce who leads the first session.
