Expressions Of Interest Open: WAMFest 2019
Clear your calendar, WA’s largest celebration of local music is back with WAMFest, WAMCon and WAMAwards 2019 dates revealed. The annual WAMAwards will be held once again at the Hyatt Regency Perth 31 October; State Theatre Centre of WA will be housing WAMCon 1-2 November, and the main WAMFest events will run 1-3 November. If you’d like to be considered for a spot on this year’s WAMFest line-up, we are now accepting expressions of interest until Monday 15 July.SOTA Festival Line-up
Another huge WA music love-fest has also reared its head recently, with SOTA announcing its return to delight Perth music lovers on WA Day 2019. Co-presented by WAM and Celebrate WA, this year’s FREE, all-ages festival will be moving to a brand new and bigger location, Burswood Park, with a chock-a-block WA line-up featuring fan-faves like John Butler, Drapht, Jebediah, Katy Steel, Slumberjack and many more. The Library Sessions Continue
The New Noise Collective is proud to present the Library Sessions; a series of FREE, all-ages live gigs at the State Library of Western Australia. The Sessions continue Saturday 18 May (3:30-5pm), featuring live performances from talented, experimental group Ryan Beno and the poetic folk songwriter Jack Davies. Led by a small group of passionate music lovers (aged 16-20), the New Noise Collective presented by Act-Belong-Commit was brought together by WAM to develop and implement practical ideas to strengthen WA’s youth music scene, including organising events like this that help connect young crowds with emerging local acts.WAM’s Fresh Picks Spotify Playlist
