Fresh from supporting The 1975 on their Australian tour, Los Angeles artist Wallice returns this spring for her own headline concerts.
The emerging indie rock artist (known for her hits '23' and 'Punching Bag') will headline concerts in Melbourne and Brisbane as well as appearing at the previously announced SXSW Sydney festival."It's been a dream of mine for a while now to open for The 1975," Wallice says. "I can't believe it finally happened let alone in Australia and New Zealand, two places I've always wanted to go to.
"It was amazing playing in front of my biggest crowds yet, and being able to meet so many amazing fans as well. I can't wait to come back this October for my own headline shows.
"I feel so lucky to be able to travel so far and share my music. It's also an honour to be a part of the very first SXSW! I've never been to one, so I can't wait to come back and be a part of that too."
Next month Wallice releases her new EP 'Mr Big Shot', which features the 2023 single 'Best Friend'.
"A recurrent theme in my music has been friendship. I think this song can easily relate to both friendship and the friendship within a romantic relationship.
"I've had a couple falling outs with various friends throughout my life; I think it's just part of life and growing up. Even though that friendship might not serve you anymore it's still so easy to reminisce on it and miss it."
