National Music Editor, based in Brisbane, Australia.
'Passionate about true crime docos, the Swannies, golf and sleep, I’ve been writing about music for 20-plus years. What I’ve learnt? There’s two types of music – good and bad.’

Last Dinosaurs, Blank Realm, Robert Forster, The Stress Of Leisure and Troy Cassar-Daley will battle it out for the 2016 Queensland Music Award Album Of The Year.

The five finalists were announced alongside 18 'early-career entrants' who were each nominated in a new set of BOQ People’s Choice Awards: Most Promising Male, Most Promising Female and Most Promising Songwriting Team.

“The Queensland Music Awards has a long history of unearthing previously unknown artists that go on to do great things,” QMusic’s Executive Officer Joel Edmondson says. “Many of the nominees in this year’s Most Promising Categories are finalists in the genre categories, which proves they’re already punching above their weight.”
