Who knows when music lovers will once again be able to enjoy the simple pleasures of a festival.
What is known: 2020 can't keep musicians from interacting with an audience.While the virtual performances are alright (when life serves you lemons, you make lemonade), the magic of being in the same room as musicians as they strum, bang and blow their instruments is still an intoxicating elixir.
Which is what The Gov will deliver with Thump 2020 – seven Adelaide bands peddling a grunge-punk aesthetic on Saturday 26 September.
Be prepared to plant your bum and fill your ears with the heavy rockin' joy that is Adelaide's longest running punk band Fear and Loathing, alongside The Toss, Perdition, Chainsaw Preachers, Lumpsucker, The Rip Offs and Surfer Rosa.
