The Pet Shop Boys, Pixies and Giorgio Moroder will headline Vivid LIVE 2014's music program.
Now in its fifth year, Sydney's "annual event of light, music and ideas" will take place from May 23 to June 9.
The Pixies will return to Australia for the first time since 2010 to play four intimate shows at the Sydney Opera House. Electro pop legends Pet Shop Boys will headline the 'Modulations' series; a collaboration between Carriageworks and Modular. Fred Deakin (half of Lemon Jelly) will also perform as part of Modulations.
Daft Punk collaborator Giorgio Moroder (of 'Giorgio By Moroder' fame) will perform a DJ set and participate in an intimate Q&A session on June 1. The Presets will perform 'Timeline', their previously announced collaboration with the Australian Chamber Orchestra that covers the history of music, at the Sydney Opera House on May 29.
