Violent Soho

Hell F yeah! Almost half a decade since they went on hiatus, Australian heavy grunge rockers Violent Soho return.

After a four-year absence, the Mansfield, Brisbane, legends will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their third studio album, 'WACO', with an east-coast tour this September with headline concerts in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

"Some dudes play golf, we play in a band," states Violent Soho. "For us, that band is Violent Soho and we missed making noise together.

"After 20-plus years though we've learned not to force it. There's a lot of history, music, and tours behind us and we can't wait to get back out there and play some shows again.

"When we took a break, we said 'until next time' and now feels like that time."

Joining Violent Soho on all three dates will be Brisbane rock band Beddy Rays, with Teenage Joans opening in Sydney and Brisbane, with Secret World first up in Melbourne.

A record that was nominated for Australian Album Of The Year at 2016 J Awards, 'WACO' also produced six tracks that landed in the Hottest 100: 'Like Soda', 'Viceroy', 'So Sentimental', 'Blanket', 'No Shade' and 'How To Taste'.

The band will also reissue 'WACO' with a limited-edition vinyl pressing (clear/ red splatter & clear/ black spatter format). Pre-order it – the vinyl ships from 8 May.

The Deluxe 2LP featuring never-before-heard B-sides, live recordings from their mythological sets at Splendour in 2016 and 2022, their epic Christmas shows at Mansfield Tavern, plus their iconic Like A Version of Silversun Pickups' 'Lazy Eye'.

Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 24 April.
