Violent Soho + Thundamentals Withdraw From Big Pineapple Music Festival

Thundamentals
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

The organisers of The Big Pineapple Music Festival have announced that due to scheduling outside the control of the event, both Violent Soho and Thundamentals have withdrawn from the Sunshine Coast festival.

Violent Soho said: “We are really disappointed to not be playing Big Pineapple Festival in 2014. Unfortunately a clash of dates with another event has forced us to withdraw from the show. Apologies to any punters who were looking forward to catching us ... The festival have been great and the cancellation from the show is through no fault of the promoters or event, so we wish them all the best for the show in 2014.”

Thundamentals said: “Due to previous touring commitments Thundamentals will no longer be performing at the Big Pineapple Festival this year. Apologies to all the Thundakats in the Sunshine Coast looking forward to the show, we also want to thank the festival and its organisers for being understanding and they are in no way at fault with the situation.”

Mark Pico, one of the BPMF organisers said: “On behalf of the festival and our team we would like to extend our deepest apologies to our punters and we thank you for your understanding, we ourselves are big fans of both acts and it is a pity to see them go although we do wish them all the best.“

The festival has announced Dead Letter Circus, Tuka and Diafrix will replace both acts on the bill in addition to Melbourne up and comers Lurch & Chief as well as Queensland locals The Hi-Boys and Hope Springs, with more acts still to come.

Bliss N Eso and The Living End headline The Big Pineapple Music Festival at the Big Pineapple Complex Saturday May 17.
