Vance Joy has shared the next piece from his forthcoming album 'Missing Piece', releasing 'Don't Fade' – a track that showcases a 'poppier' sound for the acclaimed singer-songwriter.
Filled with plenty of 'mmmm bae' moments, a cruisy, washed-out pop-folk soundscape, gorgeous guitar work, Vance's passionate vocals and lyrics that heart newfound romance, 'Don't Fade' will leave hopeless romantics slow-dancing in a self-hug pose."I wrote 'Don't Fade' with my friend and frequent songwriting partner Dave Bassett toward the end of 2019," begins Vance.
"It came as a surprise and felt like a special discovery. I like writing about that feeling of timelessness you get when you're with someone you love.
"When we came to produce the song, I had the great fortune to work with Take a Daytrip, Edwin White and David Longstreth (of Dirty Projectors).
"Writing this song was the starting point for my new album. I knew I was on a path somewhere once this song came along."
Vance Joy will tour nationally throughout spring 2022 with 13 concerts scheduled. Tickets are on sale.
