Transatlantic duo Vallis Alps will return to Australia in 2024, performing a trio of shows – Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney – promoting their 2023 debut album 'Cleave'.
"Hiiiiii. Surprise! We're doing an Australian tour in March 2024. We're taking our album 'Cleave' on the road for three very special shows with support from our friend Ashwarya. We can't wait for this, it's going to be fun."After a six-year hiatus, the electronic, synthpop group – Parissa Tosif and David Ansari – have made 2023 their comeback year, not only releasing 'Cleave' (which features 'On The Eve Of The Rush' and 'Set It Off, Set It Right') but also collaborating on a number of album remixes.
Following long-time friends Mansionair's recent remix of 'You & I' is the official rework of 'Start Again' from Sydney's GAUCI.
"We were so keen when Vallis asked us to remix a song off their new record," shares GAUCI. "They're Australian royalty in our eyes so we had to pull out all the stops.
"Parissa's voice suits so many styles, so the hardest bit was what direction to go in! Locked in for 24 hours and came up with this ode to the simpler days of euphoric dance floor fillers."
Adds Vallis Alps: "The moment we heard this remix we were in love with it. There's something really contagious and unique about all of the things GAUCI make, and this is no exception.
"We've been friends with Antonia for years, and she engineered some of our first-ever releases. It's so awesome to continue the collaboration in a different way."
Tickets are on sale.
