Australian indie band Vacations are entering a new era, evidenced by them wiping all but three posts from their Insta page, with the band set to release new music ahead of a run of tour dates.
The band behind such charmers as 'Telephones' and 'Young' will headline concerts in Fremantle, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney as well as their home town Newcastle this July. "We're going back on tour, see you soon."
Set to play international dates in North America and Asia prior to the Aussie shows, Vacations will tease their new album (due later in 2026) in May with the release of new single 'Holy Grail' (pre-save it).
Formed in 2015 and known for a sound that blends indie pop with elements of jangle and lo-fi, the group features lead songwriter and vocalist Campbell Burns, bassist Jake Johnson, guitarist Nate Delizzotti, and drummer Joseph Van Lier.
After a year spent recording, the band are ready to get back onstage, play new music, and give fans an early glimpse of what's to come. "Hello! We've been quiet lately but keeping busy," the band posted.
"Outside of some of getting married, Joey becoming a father, Campbell moving to NYC, and Nate moving to Melbourne, we've also spent time together over the last year writing and recording in Sydney and New York City.
"After many sessions in the studio, I'm excited to say our fourth album is now finished and will be released later this year! The first 'Holy Grail' will be released on May 12.
"We can't wait for you to hear what we've been working on! As always, your patience and support mean everything to us. See you soon!"
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 3 April.
