Inaugural Brisbane music festival, Unleash The Elephant has been forced to cancel its 28 March event in response to Federal Government's advice about the COVID-19 pandemic.
Shihad, Bad//Dreems, Stonefield and Press Club had been scheduled to headline the event, which was to be staged across The Elephant Hotel, The Foundry and Greaser Bar precinct.'We obviously send this information with much sadness but we look forward to coming back at you with stronger shows and events once this is all over,' event organisers said in Facebook post (16 March).
Ticket refunds are available from the point of purchase.

We are following the Federal Government's advice and have been forced to cancel the upcoming event Unleash The Elephant.
'Some artists due to perform are currently overseas and would not be able to comply with mandatory self-quarantine upon entry to Australia given the show is only now 12 days away.
'Given the current, well publicised situation with COVID-19, we want to make it clear that we value the health and safety of all our guests, artists and team members above all else, and we are strictly following the advice of Queensland Health, the State Government of Queensland, the Australian Federal Government and the World Health Organisation.
'Full refunds will be issued and available from your point of purchase (Oztix or in the venue). Please contact your ticketing outlet for further information.
