Unify Gathering's heavy music festival is back for a second year after a highly successful, sold-out 2015 event.
With a line-up featuring some of the best heavy bands from both Australia and overseas, Unify festival is back and bigger than before, with an increased capacity and the acts to match. Headlining the event this year is Parkway Drive, the metalcore outfit from Byron Bay who have ruled the Australian heavy music scene since forming in 2003. The announcement comes hot on the heels of the release of their fifth studio album 'Ire', which premiered recently to rave reviews.

Other Aussie bands shredding the scene include: In Hearts Wake who return to play Unify festival after a year-long world tour off the back of 'Earthwalker'; and Tonight Alive, who will perform their first show after a six-month break from touring spent working on their new album.

The two-day boutique camping and music gathering will again be set in the picturesque pastures of South Gippsland, a relaxed two-hour drive from Melbourne. The site is set across a secluded recreation reserve surrounded by greenery and a 10-minute drive from the big blue. While Unify 2015 famously sold all of their 3000 ticket allocation in just 3 hours, the site capacity has been increased to 5000 tickets in 2016. The s2016 event will also include international acts as part of the line-up, represented by Neck Deep (UK), State Champs (US) and Stray From The Path (US); all sporting new albums.

The rest of the line-up is rounded out by a collection of 12 Australian bands set to tear up the stage over the course of the two day festival. Ohh, there will also be a BYO and Licensed areas, a bar with cocktails, mini gold, giant connect four and giant jenga, life-size foosball, chill areas, hand-selected food trucks, local vendours, garage sales and basically anything else you expect to find at a heavy music festival...
