One of the original founders of UK reggae group UB40, Ali Campbell is bringing his own nine-piece band back to Australia in 2022, the group's first appearance in Australia in four years.
The tour will see UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell headline concerts in Hobart, Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane as well as playing the sold-out Promiseland Festival (Gold Coast).These shows will see Ali and band performing all of UB40's biggest hits as well as new material from the band's forthcoming album, 'Unprecedented', (out 1 July) that is the follow-up to 2018's 'A Real Labour Of Love'.
"This album is now more poignant and special than either of us could have imagined when we were recording it," Ali says.
"Astro heartbreakingly passed just two weeks after we'd finished the final mixes, so this is a way of keeping his memory alive.
"I can't wait to get back on stage and see all our wonderful Aussie fans, it's been incredibly difficult performing without Astro by my side. Remembering Astro, let the music play on!"
