Global superstars, Twenty One Pilots are bringing their 2024 Clancy world tour to Australia.
The 'Stressed Out', 'Ride', and 'Heathens' hitmakers will headline concerts in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney in November. "The Clancy world tour is bringing us back to see so many of you."Last month, the genre-defying duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun revealed 'Clancy' as their seventh studio album, and the final chapter in their concept record series framed in the metaphorical world of Trench and the dystopian city of Dema.
Clancy is the protagonist introduced in their fifth studio album, 2018's 'Trench'. 'Clancy' details the story of Clancy's plans to return to Trench after he escaped from Dema and was granted a 'miraculous power' in the band's sixth album, 2021's 'Scaled And Icy'.
'Overcompensate' is the lead single released last month, a dark, industrial-drenched ride through brooding electronica and grimy garage rock-rap. Today, Twenty One Pilots have shared the second song from 'Clancy', 'Next Semester' a flirtatious pop-rock banger moulded in '90s indie college vibes.
The release of 'Clancy' (which drops 17 May) coincides with the 9th anniversary of 'Blurryface' (that introduced Twenty One Pilots' multi-album narrative), which was released exactly nine years prior to the day.
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 5 April.
