Tropic Fiesta 2023 Line-up

A new, three-weekend celebration of live music will ignite Townsville next month with the likes of Tones And I, Illy, Ocean Grove, JK-47, Tia Gostelow and Horrorshow headed north to play the inaugural Tropic Fiesta.

Alongside the major headliners will be a range of events catering to music fans of all shapes and sizes; from pop-up performances in the streets, intimate gigs with emerging talent or country music legends playing to suburban audiences Tropic Fiesta will host 50 performances across 18 venues.

It kicks off with the 'Boy From The Bush' Lee Kernaghan and Newcastle country rock-pop act Hurricane Fall playing Suburban Sounds while James Cook Uni Bar will host Fiesta Dance Party (both 12 May).



2023 Australian Idol winner Royston Baira will partner with North Queensland Cowboys for NRL's Indigenous Round for Fiesta At The Footy (13 May).

The following weekend will witness the two-day East End Fiesta (20-21 May) spread across the iconic Flinders Street entertainment precinct with everything from indie pop and indie rock, to hip hop, heavy and electronic. The best part? Every show is 100 per cent free. Winning days.

For the final weekend, Rainbow Fiesta (26 May) will be the ultimate rainbow party with drag performances and DJ sets including a special set from DJ Dolly Llama.

Then Tropic Sounds returns (27 May) after the success of its inaugural event in 2022 taking place at Reid Park with Tones & I (who just released her new single 'I Am Free', Illy, Pierce Brothers and a heap more artists.

Tropic Fiesta then wraps up with the chilled feels at Recovery At The Ville with laid-back tunes on the lawn at The Ville featuring Harrison Storm and local support acts.
