Texan country-rock outfit Treaty Oak Revival are headed to Australia for the very first time.
Already slated to play the inaugural Strummingbird Festival (Sunshine Coast) and (Newcastle), the 'Missed Call' and 'No Vacancy' hitmakers will headline concerts in Melbourne and Sydney this October.
"WE'RE GOIN TO THE LAND DOWN UNDER 🤠 We're super stoked to play out of the country for the very first time THIS OCTOBER! 🦘 We'll see y'all soon 🇦🇺."
Originally starting as a cover band in Odessa, Texas, in 2018, and named after a famous, 500-year-old Texas Live Oak tree in Austin, the band have released two studio albums, 2021's 'No Vacancy' and 2023's 'Have A Nice Day.
Their catalogue includes such songs as 'Ode To Bourbon', 'In Between', 'I'm The Worst', 'One More Thing', 'Happy Face' and 'Fishnets'. Earlier this year, the band released new single 'Bad State Of Mind', showcasing a midwest emo sound.
The song has proven to be their most popular yet, landing at #1 on Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. It also led to the band performing 'Bad State Of Mind' live on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'.
In May, Treaty Oak Revival released an acoustic album titled 'The Talco Tapes', consisting of eight previously recorded songs and a cover of 'Name' by Goo Goo Dolls.
"We tossed around the idea of doing an acoustic record for a long time – it was always one of those projects we knew we'd get to eventually and it's truly a passion project," the band posted.
"Ever since our PBS Unplugged session hit YouTube, y'all have been asking for more of that stripped-down vibe. We wanted to record it live in the studio, have a camera crew out and capture really beautiful videos of the songs along with the fly-on-the-wall stuff from in between takes.
"That's when the idea turned into more than just an album – it became a film. We recorded everything live, no AutoTune, no overdubs, just us in a room playing our hearts out. It's raw. It's real. It's a thank you to the fans. Nine songs. Four from 'No Vacancy', four from 'Have A Nice Day', and one cover.
"It's a new way to hear some of our favourite tracks, and a chance to show that this band isn't just loud guitars and big drums – we can reshape these songs into something totally different when we strip it all back.
"We're super proud of how it turned out, and we can't wait for everyone to experience it. Love y'all 🖤."
Tickets on sale from 12pm (local time) on 18 August.
