English electronic musician-producer, Tourist returns to Australia in 2024.
The Grammy Award-winning songwriter (co-writing Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me' in 2015), the 'We Stayed Up All Night', 'Bunny' and 'Howl' hitmaker will headline concerts in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth in October."I love that the people who come to my shows do so not for my brand new album, but for what their idea of my music is," Tourist says. "I realised that each album in my career is the chapter of a book; some are more interesting than others, but you only know how interesting they are when you finish them."
Now a decade-plus into his career, earlier this year Tourist released his fifth studio album, 'Memory Morning'.
"The process of writing this record was one of the most meaningful periods of my life," Tourist says. "I've always had this idea of wanting to write an album that sounds like a dream or a memory, disorientating but enjoyable at the same time.
"I feel that with this record, I've got as close to that intention as possible. It is the sum of every musical memory that sparked my love for sound as a young boy, it's almost an album about the nature of creativity itself.
"I want to say how incredibly grateful I am to still be able to do this. I hope this new album sparks something in you."
