English electronic artist Tourist is headed to Australia.
Already revealed as part of the Open Season programme in Brisbane as well as Illuminate Adelaide, the Grammy Award-winning (co-writer of Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me' that won 2015 Song Of The Year) songwriter and producer will also play headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney."Hello, I am happy and busy. The moniker of William Phillips, Tourist has collaborated with a who's who of the biggest names in global music including Christine And The Queens, Chvrches, Deftones, Wolf Alice, Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd. You can also expect new music from Tourist in 2023.
Phillips – who has released four albums as Tourist: 2016's 'U', 2019's 'Everyday' & 'Wild' and 2022's 'Inside Out' – has performed everywhere from Coachella and Glastonbury festival, as well as opening for Bonobo on his recent 'Outlier' North American tour.
This run of performances finds Tourist tinkering with his stage show incorporating analogue and digital elements alongside live visuals.
Tickets to the Melbourne and Sydney shows on sale from 1pm (local time) on 11 May. Tickets to the Brisbane and Adelaide shows are on sale.
