TOTO & Christopher Cross Australia 2025 Tour

TOTO
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

A legendary band and the forefather of yacht rock are teaming up for a joint tour to ignite '80s music lovers.

With a catalogue of ageless rock-pop anthems – 'Africa', 'Hold The Line', 'Rosanna', 'I'll Be Over You', 'Stop Loving You', 'Georgy Porgy' and 'I Won't Hold You Back' – TOTO are certified music legends, who are bringing their Dogz Of Oz world tour to Melbourne and Sydney this April.

"It's been seven years and we've really been trying hard to get back to Australia. We can't wait to see you all this April," TOTO's Steve Lukather says.

TOTO performing by themselves would be a sonic treat, but the American band will be joined by Christopher Cross for a double bill of iconic hits; widely regarded as the forefather of what would quickly become yacht rock in the late '70s, Cross became an instant household name upon the release of his 1979 eponymous debut album.

Recently highlighted in the 2024 film 'Yacht Rock: A Dockumentary', Cross's mega-hit 'Sailing' from that debut album would earn Cross three Grammy Awards (the same album also producing the AM hits 'Never Be The Same' and 'Ride Like The Wind'), while 'Arthur's Theme' (from the Dudley Moore 1981 film 'Arthur') would win Best Original Song at the 1982 Oscars.

"I am very excited to be coming back down under to perform for my fans and to share the stage with my friends TOTO."

Both artists are already scheduled to play 2025 Bluesfest.

Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 4 February.
