Top Five Reasons To See King Tide Live

King Tide
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Australia's rocksteady reggae band King Tide are bringing soul to the Crackin' Cancer benefit gig.

Supporting the non-for-profit organisation committed to raising funds for better detection and treatment of cancer, King Tide will be playing all their hits as well as new track off their new album 'Vitamin Records' due out later this year. Encouraging everyone to get along and support a good cause, King Tide provided five other reasons to see them live.

1. Because

2. Because you enter everything that says free giveaway

3. Because you’re reading this on a bus

The wheels on the bus go around and around and around and around and around and around. The wheels on the bus go around and around. You’re slipping into a deep hypnotic state. All the troubles in the world are now but an illusion. You see yourself dressed in a chicken suit. This is your stop. Get up now. Get off the bus, go home. You feel good. You feel better than you have ever felt. You feel better than James Brown. The wheels on the bus go round and around. You're in a deep hypnotic state. On Saturday the 20th September you are going to dress in a chicken suit and go to the Motor Room and see King Tide. On that night I will say the words "Look! A Chicken suit!" and you will then dance like a chicken. It is called the chicken dance. Love will be your compass. The wheels on the bus go around and around.

KingTide4. Because you’re part of the law firm Fuzzbottom and Cox

...and your daughter saw the band after reading this quote: “Simply, and I have written this before. King Tide is one of the best live acts in this country” by Paul Busch ‘Faster Louder'. Now you need to go to a King Tide gig and record the show. So you can litigate and get your daughters money back.

5. Couldn’t think of anything even remotely witty to write here

So I left five blank. Sorry, I usually do these five list things when I’m really pissed on the clown juice. But Dr No-Fun has said last drinks. Oh well, hopefully number four will raise a smile.

King Tide are playing as apart of the Crackin' Cancer benefit gig at The Motor Room on Friday 20th September.
