[UPDATE - 22 October, 2018: Tim has added dates on the Gold Coast. See below]
After more than half a decade, Australian musician, comedian, actor, writer and composer Tim Minchin, who's not afraid of a little controversy, has announced his first national tour, 'BACK', since 2012.
With dates slated in Adelaide, Canberra, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane 'BACK' is being billed as a performance of 'old songs, new songs, f… you songs' and is Tim's return to the stage after several film and TV roles including playing Friar Tuck in the Hollywood reboot of 'Robin Hood' this November.
Tim has been celebrated globally for writing the music and lyrics for 'Matilda The Musical', which has won 7 Olivier Awards, 13 Helpmann Awards and 5 Tony Awards, making it one of the most acclaimed musicals of the last 20 years.
Tim has also courted plenty of attention with his ARIA-nominated charity single 'Come Home Cardinal Pell' and the Marriage Equality parody, 'I Still Call Australia Homophobic'. While his UWA graduation speech has been watched by tens of millions of people.
And with a history of sold-out shows (his recent Australian one-off performance as part of Dark Mofo in June sold every ticket in under 15 minutes), you'd be advised to book asap when general tickets go on sale from 2pm local time on 6 September. Click here for more details.
