Tigerlily: Have Faith

After supporting Tiesto on his Asian ‘Clublife’ tour and the success of her new single, ‘Faith’, Sydney DJ/ producer, Tigerlily, is in top form.

Tigerlily will appear with Melbourne DJ/ producer, Zoolanda, at Eatons Hill Hotel promoting the latest instalment of Onelove’s ‘Sonic Boom Box’ compilation series. She can’t wait to get back to Brisbane. “I love Eatons Hill, it’s such a good venue to play at; I think I’ve been there twice before and both shows have been mental,” she says. “I can’t wait to come back actually, it’s been a while since I’ve been in Brisbane, so it should be really good and I’m looking forward to it.”

Last year was massive for Tigerlily — touring with the renowned Tiesto and having her single ‘Zombie’ named a 2013 Top 10 iTunes dance release. With similar success looking imminent for ‘Faith’, what’s next for the bombshell DJ? Tigerlily recently let slip via her Facebook page that she had “just spent the morning in the studio working on something new and exciting”.

Although she was reluctant to divulge any further details, she did say it was a collaborative project that’s unlike any of her previous work. “I’m working on a project with an Australian duo that’s really different to anything else I’ve done before,” she says. “I’m just really hoping it gets to the stage where we can release it to show everyone.”



Somehow, between touring, mixing her own tracks, working on mysterious side-projects and performing regularly as resident DJ at Sydney club, Pacha, Tigerlily is also at university full-time, studying a degree in media and communications. “I’m in my fifth and final year, so it’s been a long haul but I’m hoping it’ll be worth it to have a degree in the end. It’s quite hectic and it’s getting to the point where it can sometimes be too busy to be enjoyable, but you just have to stick through some things, I think.”
