Event ticketing company, Showbiz, entered Voluntary Administration today.
The Australian Securities & Investment Commission listing for Showbiz International Pty Ltd indicates that the company lodged a 505 document – a notice of appointment of an external administrator. The Showbiz website is currently "unavailable" and its Twitter page no longer exists but it is hoped the company will be able to trade out of its difficulties and leave administration.
Showbiz describes itself as a specialist in premium ticketing and packages for theatre, concert, sport, the arts and leisure events across Australia. They have recently sold tickets for Eminem, Vivid LIVE, and Andrea Bocelli.
Showbiz was due to sell Soulfest Premium tickets today, but a post on Soulfest's Facebook page this afternoon advised that tickets would be available directly through Soulfest.
