This Whole Flume Thing Is Getting Out Of Hand

Flume
Arts Editor and Senior Writer (many years until 2012)

So it turns out Australia really, really digs Flume. And who could blame us?

The 21-year-old producer, who dominated this year's triple j Hottest 100 on the back of his self-titled debut album, has announced his first ever national tour, and the venues are... not small.

Boasting an entirely new stage production — highlighted by the Infinity Prism, a cosmic-sounding device that references the kaleidoscopic imagery of his album cover in a live context by way of a hexagonal infinity mirror embedded with LED lights — Flume will play the following massive shows with touring buddy and hipster demigod Chet Faker:

Tue Apr 30 — Hordern Pavilion (Sydney)
Thu May 2 — Festival Hall (Melbourne)
Tue May 7 — Riverstage (Brisbane)
Wed May 8 — Thebarton Theatre (Adelaide)
Sun May 12 — Metro City (Perth)

Hordern Pavilion! Riverstage! This is happening. So are these festival dates:

Sat Mar 9 — Golden Plains (Meredith)
Sun Mar 10 — Breath Of Life Festival (Launceston)
Sat Apr 27 — Groovin The Moo (Maitland)
Sun Apr 28 — Groovin The Moo (Canberra)
Sat May 4 — Groovin The Moo (Bendigo)
Sun May 5 — Groovin The Moo (Townsville)
Sat May 11 — Groovin The Moo (Bunbury)
