Welcome to This Week In Pop.
This week, Taylor Swift reclaims the #1 spot on the Albums Chart as 'The Tortured Poets Department' steps up from #3 last week for a fifth non-consecutive week on top.
So far this year, female artists have ruled the ARIA Albums Chart for 24 out of 27 weeks. Taylor has been in the penthouse for 15 weeks with '1989 (Taylor’s Version)', 'Midnights', 'Lover' and 'The Tortured Poets Department'.
On the Singles Chart, Shaboozey’s 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' rises from #2 to #1, marking his first hit here. It interpolates J-Kwon’s 'Tipsy' which reached #5 in 2004. Earlier this week Shaboozey performed the track with J-Kwon at the BET Awards.
