Welcome to This Week In Pop.
This week, Taylor Swift’s 'The Life Of A Showgirl' reclaims the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart following a two-week break thanks to 5SOS and 'Wicked: For Good'.
Taylor’s latest has now spent seven non-consecutive weeks on top. It’s her fourth longest-running #1 album behind 'Midnights' (16 weeks on top), '1989 (Taylor’s Version)' (14 weeks) and 'The Tortured Poets Department' (eight weeks). The latter climbs from #21 to #16 this week.
Olivia Dean proves unstoppable on the Singles Chart, as 'Man I Need' holds at #1 for the third week in a row.
A new version of 'I Run' by British producer Harrison Walker, aka HVN, debuts at #9. The original hit #8 in October but was then dropped by most streaming services over claims it used AI-generated vocals. The new version features British singer Kaitlin Aragon.
